The development of the humanoid robot industry has entered a fast lane, and engineering plastics continue to benefit from their advantage of replacing traditional metal materials to achieve lightweight mass production. This article reviews the development history of humanoid robots and the application overview of engineering plastics in this field. It elaborates on the performance characteristics and application practices of several major engineering plastics in combination with specific application scenarios, verifying that engineering plastics possess multiple advantages in the application of humanoid robots and play a crucial role in promoting the development of humanoid robots. Furthermore, it provides an outlook on the application prospects of engineering plastics in the field of humanoid robots.
